Amazing. I keep thinking of the quote attributed to Einstein that it is a sign of madness to expect different results without changing behavior.

What if the preponderance of analysts are correct and the cost of oil/gas is just beginning its meteoric rise? Is it prudent and wise to throw so much precious capital into a technology (roads and cars) that will be unaffordable to so many in so short a time?

Threats to energy supply is about the same level of discussion and understanding that global warming was 15 years ago. Let's hope it doesn't take 15 years to go from crackpot theory to ignored-by-the-adminstration.
